Evidence Archive is a local-first evidence and document archive for iPhone and iPad. The app is designed to store case files, notes, imported files, captured photos, scanned documents, SHA-256 hashes, and export indexes on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your Apple iCloud account.

Data Stored by the App

The app may store the following information that you create or import:

Local Storage and iCloud

Evidence Archive stores files locally on your device unless iCloud sync is available and enabled for the app. With iCloud sync, Apple iCloud may sync case metadata and evidence files between devices signed in to your Apple ID. The app developer does not operate a separate server for this app and does not receive your evidence files through the app.

Purchases

Evidence Archive may offer an optional non-consumable In-App Purchase to unlock the full version. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app receives purchase entitlement status from Apple but does not receive your full payment card details.

Camera, Photos, and Files

The app requests access only when you choose to capture a photo, scan a document, import from Photos, or import files. Imported files are copied into the app's storage so they can be organized in your case archive.

Sharing and Export

You can explicitly export or share case archives and evidence files. When you do this, the exported data is handled by the destination you choose, such as Files, Mail, Messages, or another app.

Tracking and Advertising

Evidence Archive does not include third-party advertising, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell personal data.

Legal Note

SHA-256 hashes can help verify file integrity after import. Evidence Archive does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee admissibility of evidence.
